We are in Day 14 of 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting at Journey Church.

Hope you’re hanging in.

We want to know God.  And we can.  But it isn’t merely through knowledge that we do.

We’re in an age of information overload.  Whatever you want to find or know can be found and known.  It’s as close as the right combination of finger presses on a keyboard.  Voila.  Bible translations, Bible commentaries, Bible podcasts and YouTubes, online sermons, and on and on.

It’s a new day and I’m thankful for the all the resources available in a moment if you know where to look - and even if you don’t.

But it’s information.  Information doesn’t dispense life.  The Holy Spirit brings life.

These are the moments spent with God where Joshuas rise up.  Peters.  Daniels.  Esthers.  Elijahs and Elishas.  Ruths.  Pauls, even.

It happens through closeness.  Intimacy with the Father via the Holy Spirit.  He’s done everything He needed to do to make that possible through His Son, Jesus.

You have an invitation today to enjoy Him - to love Him - to put all your trust in Him.  He’s waiting.
